Abstract

Over the last decade, land forces have undergone an extensive process of reform and modernization in order to create credible and efficient capabilities, adapted to the new security environment.

The transition from the specific concepts of territorial defence to collective defence and counteracting asymmetric risks does not exclude the responsibility of defending the national territory, and to meet strategic requirements Romania needs a modern and permanently adaptable ground forces structure based on the principle of combat power, a principle by which the forces are configured according to the missions and objectives to be accomplished.

Author Biography

Florian Ioan CIOANCĂ, Battalion 405 ”Năsăud” Logistical Support

Născut la data 03.11.1972, localitatea Bistrița, Florin-Ioan Cioanca, este absolvent al Institutului Militar de Tancuri “Mihai Viteazul”, Facultatea de tancuri, promoţia 1995. Pregătirea academică şi-a completat-o prin absolvirea cursului postuniversitar de informatică aplicată și programare din cadrul Universității Tehnice din Cluj Napoca, în anul 2002 și a masterului de conducere interarme, Forțe Terestre, din cadrul Universității Naționale de Apărare “CAROL I”, în anul 2016 și a unor stagii de pregătire profesională. De profesie militar, își desfășoară activitatea, în calitate de ofițer, în cadrul Ministerului Apărării Naționale.
