Abstract

Military geniuses like Hannibal, Caesar, Suvorov or Napoleon proved to the whole world how relatively small armies prevailed through complex battle strategies, ingenuity and courage, through scientific and military knowledge that can make a difference. The technological progress made in the last hundreds of years, based on technical-scientific discoveries, has led the armed struggle to such a high level that technological supremacy, the ratio of forces and military technique are extremely important in the assumption of a military conflict. However, combining conventional resources of combat with modern ones, the use of combined forms
and methods of combat, are still issues of general interest, which require adaptable strategies and not least the ingenuity, flair and exuberance of leaders. The impact of new technologies on the military field still remains a dilemma that will probably never be clarified, precisely because of the constant challenges, which are increasingly complex and different.

Cristian-Octavian Stanciu, Universitatea Naţională de Apărare „Carol I”

Mă numesc STANCIU N Cristian-Octavian, m-am născut la data de 05.08.1973 în București, iar din anul 1995 sunt ofiter, arma geniu, al Armatei României. Din punct de vedere al educației și formării, am absolvit următoarele forme de învățământ: -1995-Institutul Militar de Geniu, Construcții și Căi Ferate “Panait Donici’; -1999-Universitatea Politehnică București, facultatea de Ingineria și Managementul Sistemelor Tehnologice; -2011-Universitatea Națională de Apărare "Carol I", Master în domeniul "Științe Militare și Informații", specializarea Securitate și Apărare Națională; -2013-Universitatea Națională de Apărare "Carol I", Master în domeniul "Științe Militare și Informații", specializarea conducere inter-arme Forțe Terestre; -din 2013 sunt student doctorand al Școlii Doctorale din cadrul Universității Naționale de Apărare "Carol I", în domeniul "Științe Militare" Începând cu anul 1995 mi-am desfășurat activitatea pe linie de geniu în unități aparținând Forțelor Aeriene, urcând treptele carierei militare de la funcția de comandant pluton, comandant de companie, șef Birou Sprijin Operații / A-3 Operații, , iar din martie 2013 am îmbrățișat cariera didactică, ocupând funcții de instructor superior și instructor avansat în cadrul Departamentului Forțe Terestre / Facultatea de Comandă și Stat Major/ Universitatea Națională de Apărare "Carol I" .
