PREPARING STUDENTS IN INSTITUTIONS OF MILITARY EDUCATION

Abstract

At the beginning of this century, the officer’s role is to serve his country and the values he believes in. He is also an actor determined to accomplish, together with the soldiers under his command, the mission entrusted to him in order to build a safer and more peaceful world. This framework demands the officer to be in the same time a soldier, citizen, leader, state servant, and promoter of peace. Regarding the relationship between the state of peace and war, we learn from history lessons that nowadays the world’s social relationships are complex and unpredictable. However, these relationships are enhanced by the reduction of the available time to decide and act. The technological advances in computer science, mass media and communication represent the main reason for these changes.

Author Biography

Benone ANDRONIC, The" Carol I" National Defense University

Născut la data 20.11.1953, localitatea Hangu, Benoni Andronic este absolvent al Academiei Militare, Secția de servicii, specialitatea Conducere servicii, promoţia 1984. Deţine titlul de doctor în Știință Militară, acordat în anul 1995 de către Academia de Înalte Studii Militare. Pregătirea academică şi-a completat-o prin absolvirea mai multor cursuri/studii universitare de masterat, stagii de pregătire în țară și străinătate. De profesie cadru didactic, şi-a desfăşurat și îşi desfăşoară activitatea, în calitate de profesor universitar asociat al Școlii doctorale din Universitatea Națională de Apărare ,,Carol I”. Are o bogată activitate ştiinţifică (un număr notabil de cercetări, studii, monografii efectuate, cursuri universitare predate), fiind şi autor al mai multor carți, manuale și capitole de specialitate, articole indexate ISI, ca autor principal sau coautor, articole BDI şi alte articole, apărute la edituri științifice militare și civile, în publicaţii din ţară şi din străinătate, precum și numeroase comunicări la manifestari ştiintifice naționale și internaționale.
